Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 16, 2026
Bak'd On The Bay is operated by Hemptations LLP as a live event ecosystem powered by Beslyfe platform technology. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how people can request access, correction, deletion, or removal from event updates.
Information We Collect
We collect information people choose to provide when they use the site, apply for event opportunities, create profiles, request event reminders, communicate with the event team, or participate in community features. This may include name, email address, phone number, business name, role, application answers, profile details, media uploads, public posts, comments, follows, group activity, and messages.
We may also collect operational information needed to run the event and protect the platform, including session cookies, login status, browser information, IP address, security logs, audit logs, ticket or order references, payment status, communication history, campaign source, referral code, page path, conversion event, device category, and performance or error signals.
Event-Day Entry And Check-In
Authorized staff may use the protected Event-Day Control page after visually confirming an attendee's official ticket and valid photo ID. The check-in tool helps staff detect duplicate entry attempts and count attendance; it does not independently verify ticket authenticity with AXS.
The raw ticket or barcode reference is not stored. It is converted into a one-way SHA-256 hash for duplicate detection, and only the final four characters are retained for staff confirmation. Check-in records may also contain age-verification status, entry lane, optional wristband code or color, check-in method, staff account identifier, time, and a short operational note. Staff are instructed not to enter unnecessary personal information.
Event Update And Reminder Emails
Visitors may voluntarily provide an email address and choose an audience category such as attendee, vendor, sponsor, speaker, entertainment, or community to receive Bak'd On The Bay reminders and confirmed announcements.
Reminder subscriptions are consent-based. Every confirmation email includes a private unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing changes the subscription status and stops future event-update messages for that audience category. Account, security, application, transaction, or legally required messages may still be sent when applicable.
Campaign And Referral Analytics
We use first-party, privacy-limited analytics to understand which campaign pages, referral links, traffic sources, share channels, ticket buttons, application paths, reminder forms, and live-guide entry points help people find useful event information.
The campaign analytics system is designed not to collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, form answers, posts, messages, passwords, signatures, or uploaded media. Ticket references are also excluded from campaign analytics. Query strings and fragments are removed from stored page paths. Campaign properties use a strict allowlist and may include audience, source, medium, campaign name, referral code, share channel, device category, performance metrics, and coarse error status.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate Bak'd On The Bay, manage applications and approvals, support vendors, sponsors, speakers, performers, attendees, and community members, manage event-day entry, provide ticket or package access, send requested event reminders and account notifications, protect accounts, prevent misuse, improve the platform, measure campaign effectiveness, and determine whether the event ecosystem is creating useful opportunities.
We do not build features to maximize rage, manipulation, or unhealthy engagement. The platform's purpose is to help people find meaningful opportunities, relationships, events, businesses, knowledge, and communities.
Community And Profile Visibility
Public directory profiles, approved business listings, public posts, comments, and other intentionally public content may be visible to other site visitors or members. Private account information and direct messages are not intended to be public. Admin tools are designed to support event operations, moderation, safety, support, campaign measurement, check-in, and approved communications.
Social Platform Connections And Sharing
Campaign pages may offer links for Facebook, text message, email, device sharing, and copying a trackable URL for use in Instagram or other apps. Using a share option may open the chosen external platform, which has its own privacy practices.
If an official social platform connection is added later, we will use official OAuth or API authorization flows. We do not ask for social media passwords, app secrets, access tokens, backup codes, or passwords in public forms or support messages.
Third-Party Services
We use service providers to operate the site and event ecosystem. These may include hosting, database, email delivery, ticketing, analytics, payment, and social platform providers. Examples may include Netlify, Resend, Eventbrite, AXS, Meta, and similar services used for event operations.
Third-party sites have their own privacy practices. This policy applies to Bak'd On The Bay and cannadispo.com, not to external websites you visit from our links.
Cookies And Browser Storage
The site may use cookies, session storage, local storage, and similar browser storage to keep users signed in, remember age-gate confirmation, preserve application drafts, remember interface state, protect accounts, keep first-touch campaign attribution, create a temporary anonymous analytics session identifier, save event-day session favorites, and retain the last live event snapshot for offline viewing.
The analytics session identifier is not intended to identify a person and is stored in session storage. First-touch campaign attribution may remain in local storage so later conversions can be attributed to the original source. Event-day favorites and snapshots stay on the user's device and can be removed by clearing browser storage. Browser settings may allow you to clear or block storage, but doing so may affect sign-in, attribution, drafts, favorites, and member features.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to operate the event, maintain records, support accounts and subscriptions, manage entry, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce safety rules, prevent fraud or abuse, measure campaigns, and preserve audit history. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.
Data Deletion And Unsubscribe Instructions
Every event-update confirmation email contains a private unsubscribe link. You may also request deletion or correction of your account, profile, application, reminder subscription, check-in record where identifiable, or related personal information by emailing admin@cannadispo.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
Please include the email address used and a short description of what you want deleted. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
Some records may need to be retained when required for event operations, transaction records, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or audit history. When full deletion is not possible, we will limit or anonymize information where appropriate.
Age And Event Eligibility
Bak'd On The Bay is not directed to children. Visitors must be at least 18 years old to enter cannadispo.com or use Bak'd On The Bay site features. Event participation, ticketing, vendor activity, sponsor activity, and cannabis-related content may be subject to additional age, location, and legal eligibility requirements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect information. Reminder unsubscribe tokens and event-day ticket references are stored as one-way hashes rather than readable tokens or ticket codes. Camera access is limited to the protected event-day admin route and is used locally in the staff browser for barcode capture. No website, database, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the event, platform, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
